SOLAR PLUG PRO is a great accessory to SOLAR STATION and SOLAR STATION Live. You can pair your SOLAR STATION with your SOLAR PLUG PRO by a simple press of a button. After the two have been paired, the switching module will be turned on or off according to one of the rules you can set.
Don’t know what to control? Another great feature of the plug is its ability to measure power consumption. The switching module can be connected to a DIN rail in your distribution box and used to monitor the current power consumption.
The rules are fixed, and you can choose one of the following:
- The PV battery charge exceeds 90%
- The power flowing into the electrical network exceeds 500W
- The power flowing into the electrical network exceeds 2000W
- PV system exceeds power generation of 2kW
- Spot price of electricity - the cheapest hour of the day
- Spot price of electricity - the cheapest 3 hours of the day
- The spot price of electricity is negative.
- Manual; controlled by the button located on the plug
If a rule is broken, the switching module turns off. In case of loss of connection with SOLAR STATION, the swithing module will turn off after 15 minutes too.
The switching module is convenient because it doesn’t need active control from the user, as it can measure power consumption and use the fixed rules for operation. You can also easily gain insight into the power consumption of your dryer, washing machine, etc. SOLAR STATION shows the current power consumption of the appliance connected to the plug, as well as total power used since the switching module was turned on.
The switching module is a typical SHELLYPRO 1PM, and its unique ID is registered in the system. Therefore, any other SHELLY modules cannot be used.
SOLAR STATION can control up to 8 modules concurrently.
The sum of the connected modules’ power consumption is shown on the display of SOLAR STATION. It can be found by clicking on the button with the icon of a plug connected to the sun.
Be aware before you buy:
- SOLAR STATION and SOLAR PLUG PRO are connected locally through your local Wi-Fi network. As a result, the SOLAR STATION must be installed at the same location as the SOLAR PLUG PRO.
