SOLAR STATION is a monitoring station for your photovoltaic power plant. On the e-ink display it shows every 5 minutes the information retrieved from the inverter manufacturer's cloud.

Only installations with one inverter are supported. Complex Master - Slave installations are not supported. If you are not sure, better write an inquiry.
If you have an inverter and login credentials to that portal, SOLAR STATION will work.
SOLAR STATION does not require any additional device (MODBUS converter, etc.) to be installed. It only needs internet (WiFi) and cloud credentials to connect. The login credentials are stored on the device and are only used for authentication against the manufacturer's cloud, we do not handle them further. SOLAR STATION can therefore be kept at home or even at work in the office.
What is displayed on the screen?
- The production tiles of the photovoltaic plant. The big one shows the current production, the small one the production of today.
- The battery tile contains the percentage of battery charge. The small value then represents the current battery usage - positive charging, negative discharging.
- The consumption tile shows the current household consumption. It is the sum of panel production, battery production and grid purchases.
- The buy and sell tile shows the current electricity usage from the grid. The power plant symbol represents purchase, and the heart symbol represents grid sales and independence.
- Weather forecast tile for today and the next 4 days. Today's day is highlighted in a darker colour.
- The sunrise and sunset tiles show the sunrise and sunset times for today.
- The SOLAR PLUG tile shows in current power and total energy of SOLAR PLUG.
- The spot price tile shows the price in EUR for the current hour. Various sources are available.
What is e-ink?
E-ink display works similarly to the famous children's toy - GRAFO. Anything that is drawn on the display stays there forever until it is shaken. In the case of e-ink, this means an electrical charge. An e-ink display only consumes electricity to redraw it, then it doesn't. You may know it from the Kindle reader. The last image is displayed on it forever.
Why doesn't it communicate directly with the inverter?
This is a very common question. Yes, it can communicate directly with the inverter. But the setup is not user trivial. You usually need some additional MODBUS converter or the device must be within range of the inverter and its weak WiFi. On the other hand, the cloud solution, which you actually use in a mobile app, fits perfectly into the philosophy of the e-ink display, which benefits from not very frequent redrawing, but provides zero power consumption in contrast. This allows the SOLAR STATION to last a long time without charging.
Can I set it up?
We tried to make it as simple as possible. In the worst case, read the instructions. Once unpacked and turned on, SOLAR STATION will start broadcasting its own network to which you connect. Once connected, a setup page will pop up (or open it at http://192.168.4.1) and it will walk you through the setup. All you need is a password for your WiFi and the manufacturer's cloud login. And you also enter the location for the weather.
What's inside?
For the tech geeks: The device is built around ESP32 and GoodDisplay e-ink.
How long does it last charged?
Long. We tried it and it lasted weeks. But a lot depends on the quality of the WiFi signal. If the device wakes up, it needs to figure everything out, redraw and go to sleep as fast as possible. It needs ideal conditions to do that. The device doesn't really benefit from a Repeater or Mesh connection. Technical: For Mesh networks, we recommend a fixed AP allocation.
How to charge?
The SOLAR STATION has a LiPo battery (2500mAh) and is equipped with a charger. Charging is done via USB-C port. The cable is not included. I believe you already have one at home.
How long does it last charged?
Long. We ve tried it and it lasted weeks. Like six or more. But it depends a lot on the quality of the WiFi signal. If the device wakes up, it needs to figure everything out, redraw and go to sleep as fast as possible. It needs ideal conditions to do that. The device is not fully connected to Repeater or Mesh. Technical: For Mesh networks, we recommend a fixed AP allocation.
What is the box made of?
The SOLAR STATION box is made with 3D printing technology. 3D printing does not reach the quality of injection molding and needs to be approached anyway. We always try to make sure that the front side is free of major defects. The back side may contain slight defects, we are tolerant there. After all, it is the side next to the wall. For technical scourals, it is PLA material and we print with a 0.2mm layer.
What if the device stops displaying the correct data? What if the inverter manufacturer changes something? Will it work?
We've given this a lot of thought and the result is that the device checks to see if it has the current firmware after boot. So if the inverter manufacturers change something, just email me, we will check and modify the firmware, which SOLAR STATION will then download and install itself.
What's in the package?
SOLAR STATION, 2pcs wall brackets with 3M tape and printed box, stand. Printed instructions are not included, outdated. Instructions are here on the online shop.
What is the operating voltage?
It is powered by a 3.7V battery.
What are the dimensions?
152 x 121 x 14 mm.
What about the guarantee?
Of course, it is a legal guarantee. Moreover, We make SOLAR STATION for our pleasure and yours. If anything goes wrong, please get in touch. If you don't like it, we'll refund your money. We are not crooks, we are a normal top company.
Let it shine!
